Breast Lift
Restore Lift and Contour with a Breast Lift
Reclaim a youthful silhouette with a tailored surgical solution
Aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and weight fluctuations can cause the breasts to lose shape, volume, and firmness. A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises and reshapes sagging breasts—enhancing their position and improving overall contour.
At Allure Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Percy Lo performs breast lifts to restore youthful elevation, improve breast symmetry, and create a more confident, natural silhouette—without significantly changing size.

What a Breast Lift Can and Cannot Do
Understand the benefits and limits of the procedure
A breast lift is ideal for women whose breasts:
Sag or droop, with nipples that fall below the breast crease
Point downward, or appear flattened
Lack symmetry, with one breast sitting lower than the other
What it can do:
Reposition the nipples and tighten surrounding tissue
Reshape the breasts to restore youthful projection
Improve balance and symmetry
What it cannot do:
Significantly increase breast volume (consider augmentation for this)
Prevent future aging or skin laxity (though results are long-lasting)
Substitute for weight loss or major size reduction (combine with reduction if needed)
Preparing for Breast Lift Surgery
How to set yourself up for a smooth and safe recovery
Prior to your breast lift, Dr. Lo will review your medical history, perform a detailed breast evaluation, and discuss your goals. Preparation may include:
Avoiding nicotine for at least 4 weeks before and after surgery
Reaching a stable weight, as future weight changes can impact results
Discontinuing medications or supplements that increase bleeding risk
Arranging transportation and aftercare, as the procedure is outpatient
Some patients may also undergo a baseline mammogram, especially if there is a family history of breast cancer or other concerns.

What to Expect During and After Surgery
From the operating room to full recovery
Breast lift surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Lo removes excess skin, repositions the nipples, and reshapes the breast tissue for a firmer, more lifted appearance.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, the procedure may involve:
Mini or crescent lift (minimal sagging)
Vertical or lollipop lift (moderate sagging)
Anchor lift (significant sagging or excess skin)
Post-operative recovery includes:
Wearing a supportive bra to reduce swelling
Avoiding lifting or overhead movement for 2–3 weeks
Sleeping on your back to minimize pressure on the chest
Stitches typically removed within 2–3 weeks
Most patients return to non-strenuous activities within 1–2 weeks, with full activity resumed after 4–6 weeks.
Risks, Results, and Long-Term Care
What to expect from healing and outcome
A breast lift is generally very safe, but all surgeries carry risks. Potential complications include:
Temporary or permanent changes in nipple sensation
Asymmetry or contour irregularities
Rare risks: bleeding, infection, fluid buildup
Final results become visible over several months as swelling subsides and tissues settle. Scars will continue to fade and flatten over time.
With proper care and a stable weight, results can last for years. To protect your investment:
Maintain healthy skin care and hydration
Avoid weight fluctuations
Wear supportive bras, especially during exercise
